The Fiji Police Force said that home invasion has become a trend in the Pacific island nation, and most of the suspects are opportunists and unemployed.
According to Livai Driu, chief operations officer of police, the police have continued to receive reports of home invasions from across the country, local media reported on Monday.
In response to these incidents, Driu said the Fiji Police Force is intensifying its efforts, including enhanced patrols, community engagement initiatives, and public awareness campaigns, to promote safety and security within residential areas.
The officer emphasised the importance of proactive measures to safeguard homes and families, urging vigilance among citizens. (Xinhua/NAN)
