Police arraign 2 men for alleged stealing, threat to life

Badagry (Lagos State), April 1, 2026 (NAN) The Police on Wednesday arraigned two men in Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, over alleged stealing and threat to life.

The defendants- Kehinde Idowu, 22; and Maxwell Adegoke 23; whose addresses are unknown are being charged with felony, stealing and threat to life.

They, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The prosecutor, Insp Friday Maneh, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on March 21, at about 4.00.p.m, at Star Light Bus Stop, Morogbo, Lagos.

He alleged that the defendants allegedly conspired among themselves to commit felony to wit: stealing and threat to life.

“The defendants stole an iPhone 15 plus valued at N700, 000, property of one Michael Eluwan, the complainant.

“The defendants threatened the complainant and put him in a state of fear.

“The offences contravened Sections 411, 287 and 56 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos, 2015,” Maneh said.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr A J Aina, granted the defendants bail in the sum N300, 000 each with two sureties in like sum.

He said that one of the sureties must be a community leader.

Aina adjourned the case until May 18, for mention. (NAN)
