Sen. Ita Enang, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Akwa Ibom says the party is intact, united and committed to promoting the ideals of democracy.
Enang made the expression in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Uyo on Tuesday while reacting to the conduct of the party’s primary elections.
He said that APC leaders in Akwa Ibom remained united, and committed to supporting all candidates that emerged from the process.
Enang, also Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany, said that APC would field candidates that would be acceptable by the electorate at the general elections.
“The party shall present candidates that will not only be acceptable but capable of delivering good leadership and representation.
“There is no division in the party, we don’t have any bitterness after the nomination process,” he said.
The APC chieftain further said that Akwa Ibom people would vote massively for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
“Our reason to vote the president is clear. He has begun economic reforms that require being actualized, we want this country back on track,” he said.(NAN)
