My wife is very filthy, I am fed up, man tells court
A 36-year-old man, Kayode Adepoju, on Friday, appeared before an Ado-Ekiti Magistrates’ Court, over the alleged defilment of a 14-year-old girl.

The Magistrate, Mrs Kehinde Awosika, who did not take the plea of the defendant, ordered his remand in the correctional centre, pending legal advice.

She subsequently adjourned the case till July 31 for mention.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Insp Elijah Adejare, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on June 21 in Iyin-Ekiti.
Adejare said that the defendant and the victim were neighbors.
According to him, when the girl’s mother went out, the defendant met the girl outside and dragged her into his room, and defiled her.
He said that the teenage girl later told her mother and the case was reported to the police.
Adejare said that the offence contravened Section 31 of the Child Right Law of Ekiti State 2021.
The prosecutor urged the court to remand the defendant in the correctional centre, pending legal advice from the office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).(NAN)
