Dr. Sam Anzaku, an Assistant Director, Federal Ministry of Agriculture has distributed 100 litres of beans insecticides to less privileged farmers in order to boost beans production in the area.
While distributing the insecticides in Wakama, Nassarawa Eggon, Anzaku urged the beneficiaries to use the product for the purpose it was meant.
He said that the importance of beans production to human and societal development was huge.
Anzaku, who was represented by Mr. Bala Ewuga, the Chairman, Wakama Youth Movement called on the youth and Nigerians to embrace agriculture for food sufficiency.
“Agriculture provides food, employment opportunities, and generate revenue among other benefits.
“Let us all continue to embrace agriculture in our interest and for the overall development of the country,” he said.
Anzaku assured all of his continued determination to impact positively on the lives of the widows, orphans and other less privileged ones.
Speaking with NAN, Mr. Averson Paul-Audu, the Chairman, Ezhiba Youth Movement lauded Anzaku’s philanthrophic gesture.
Paul-Audu said that the gesture would not only enhance the lives of the less privileged but would promote peace in the area and the state at large. (NAN)
