Adeleke and the concept of dancing

Governor-elect Ademola Adeleke is a surprisingly streetsmart guy.
He is entrenched in the grassroots despite his apparent affluent background.
His fixation with owambe music, coupled with his dancing dexterity belies his bubbly obesity.
After seeing him heaving and panting after some of his extraordinary moves, it would be nice if he could stick to his doctors’ dietary advice, be a better him, concentrate on the affairs of state and make Osun State a better place.
But, even as we wish all this upon him, we know that from inception, Osun has inexplicably been jinxed with strange Governors, from Adeleke-I (Serubawan) through Rauf to Demola, expectations have repeatedly and consistently been dashed at the alter of self aggrandizing, wrongheaded policies or long distance Oga worshipping.
As we follow Adeleke’s dance steps into the State House, we see either the builder’s hammer or a wrecking ball.
He could trim the waste as he trims his waist or do a Nero and dance while it all goes up in smoke. EMI🤍
