AIG seeks stronger security synergy

Mr Simeon Akpanudom, Assistant Inspector-General of Police, has urged stronger security collaboration to confront evolving threats across Nigeria.

This is contained in a statement on Wednesday by Aminat Mayegun, spokesperson, Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Lagos.

Akpanudom spoke at a workshop organized by the Nigerian Army Women Command in Apapa, Lagos.

The workshop was with the theme: ‘Repositioning the NAWC for Enhanced Operational Efficiency in Curbing Contemporary Security Threats’.

Senior military officers, security stakeholders and invited participants examined strategies for strengthening operational capacity against emerging threats.

Akpanudom praised the organizers, saying: “Institutional strength and operational synergy remain central to national security.

“Sustained collaboration among security agencies is essential for tackling changing criminal patterns.

“Effective coordination helps preserve public safety, peace and national stability.

The AIG in charge of FCID reaffirmed continued partnership with security institutions and stakeholders supporting economic development and national resilience.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that during the workshop, Commander MS Adamu presented a commemorative plaque recognizing police-army cooperation.

The event also highlighted police commitment under Inspector-General, Olatunji Disu, to protecting lives and property. (NAN)
