Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has announced that Asaba Specialist Hospital had been completed and would be inaugurated soon.
According to him, he would lead his Adamawa State counterpart,His Excellency, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 to officially inaugurate the ultra modern Asaba Specialist Hospital, located along Midwifery Road, Okpanam community in Asaba, beginning from 11am.
Okowa stated this on Friday while inspecting facilities at the hospital in preparation for the inauguration.
He said that the Specialist Hospital was a well-thought-out centre that would reduce pressure from the Federal Medical Centre in Asaba.
The governor expressed optimism that the hospital would be beneficial to the people, saying “I believe that this hospital is going to be very busy and we are doing our best to ensure that we have several specialists either fully employed or coming in on request to see our patients”.
The Executive Assistant to the Governor on Communications, Olorogun Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, JP, said the hospital is one of the many projects executed by the Okowa led administration, meant to provide good and affordable healthcare services to Delta State.
