President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday sacked the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOS) Mr. Danladi Kifasi.
The Permanent secretary, ministry of science and technology, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita, an indigene of Cross River State has been directed to takeover within 24 hours from the former HOS as the acting HOS.
Mrs. Oyo-Ita, a fell of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, served as permeant secretary ministry of special duties before been assigned to that of science and technology from where she was appointed.
A top civil servant told our correspondent on condition of anonymity that following her appointment, over 20 other permanent secretary who are her senior in the service maybe asked to leave the service.
Born on April, 20 1964, she attended Queen’s College Yaba, Lagos from 1974 to 1979 and bagged a bachelor of science degree from the University of Lagos in 1984 and an a masters of science from Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
Mr. Kifasi was appointed HOS in August 2014 following the retirement of Alhaji Bukar Aji-Goni.
The former HOS served in several ministries including finance, petroleum and aviation. He was appointed head of service from the ministry of petroleum resources by former President Goodluck Jonathan.
