Ibadan, April 5, 2026 (NAN) The Bishop of Ibadan North Anglican Diocese, Dr Williams Aladekugbe, has urged Christians to live out the values of  Christ’s resurrection in their daily lives.

Aladekugbe, in his Easter message on Sunday in Ibadan, said the resurrection of Jesus symbolized victory over death, sin and the world, offering salvation, hope and joy to believers.

He stated that without the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Christian worship would be in vain, as it was the foundation of salvation, hope, joy and deliverance from damnation.

The Archbishop said that the resurrection of Jesus granted believers triumph over death, sin and life’s challenges.

He added that it completed the work of salvation and fulfilled biblical prophecies.

Aladekugbe urged Christians to shun their past sins and become new creatures in both word and deed.

“Let us not go back to the sins we gave up during the 40-day fasting period,” he said.

He also prayed for God’s blessings, protection and restoration of losses for Christians worldwide, while highlighting the significance of Easter celebrations, including Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

The cleric noted that Jesus Christ’s resurrection remained a symbol of victory and deliverance from damnation.

He, therefore, urged Christians to rejoice and live in accordance with their faith. (NAN)
