Top blogger and publisher of Afikpo Chic Times, Afikpo Chic Blog, and coordinator of Igboist, and Ndi Igbo Facebook pages, Madam Maria Nwachi have won her House of Assembly bid into the Ebonyi State House of Assembly.
According to reports, Nwachi, fondly known as Afikpo Chic made history in a massive landslide victory over political bigwigs to clinch House of Assembly seat for Afikpo North East Constituency on a Progressive Peoples’ Alliance (PPA) ticket.
Her victory was so convincing as her opponents lost to her even in their strongest bases.
Speaking to Quick News Africa on the phone, Nwachi stated that it was the will of God that her people chose her to legislate for them. She also thanked Afikpo people who gave her support.
Comrade Ezechi Chukwuemeka said on the development: “The dream of Afikpo people just became reality. Mark my words, Hon Maria Ude Nwachi is going to be the hardest working legislator in the world. She is going to take this nation and beyond by storm”.
