Sen. Idiat Adebule (APC-Lagos West) has felicitated Muslims in her constituency and other parts of the country as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, which marks the end of the Ramadan fast.
The senator, in her Sallah message to constituents on Wednesday in Lagos, urged the Muslim Ummah to continue to live by the spiritual lessons of Ramadan.
Adebule, who is Chairman of the Senate Committee on Social Welfare and Poverty Alleviation, urged Muslims to uphold virtues such as acts of kindness, love for others, fairness, and self-denial cultivated during the holy month.
She called on Muslims and adherents of other faiths to use the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr to offer prayers for the nation as it seeks solutions to its present challenges.
“I will urge my Muslim faithful to emphasise the need for continued devotion to prayer and righteous living as essential components of spiritual growth and societal harmony.
“I also encourage my constituents to channel the goodwill and blessings of Ramadan towards fostering peace, unity, and development in Nigeria,” she added. (NAN)
