Fiesta: Enugu tertiary schools students unite for capacity building

Some students of tertiary institutions in Enugu State have pledged to work together to build their capacities in different fields.

The students made the pledge during the Coal City Campus Fiesta (CCCF), held in Enugu on Saturday.

The founder of the CCCF, Charles Anwunobi, said the event would unite university students in the state and create beautiful interactions among them.

Anwunobi said the programme was all about uniting all the students from all the campuses in Enugu State.

Anwunobi, a final-year student of computer engineering at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), explained that CCCF was a platform that brought university students together for networking, contact exchange, and linking up with friends from other universities.

He said they conducted the festival in partnership with the Enugu State Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

“We have ESUT, the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), including Enugu Campus (UNEC), the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Godfrey Okoye University, CARITAS University, Coal City University, and others.

“This programme started in 2022, and it is like a festival where they network and discover their talents, especially in the entertainment industry.

“We have games, school inter-rap, and fashion competitions that engage students.

“It will help to bring up their talents and social lives, and it is an open event for all students,” he said.

“Even after my graduation, we will keep working with the campus representatives to sustain the programmes,” he assured.

Brian Ebekue, a.k.a. Brian Vibez, his co-founder, who is a music artist and promoter, said the fiesta would create an avenue for campus students in Enugu to share knowledge and love.
