Benin, Jan. 28, 2026 (NAN) The Dr Osahon Enabulele Foundation (DOEF) on Wednesday organised a free medical outreach at Uselu Market, Egor Local Government Area of Edo.

The outreach aimed to provide quality healthcare services to indigent residents unable to afford medical care within the community.

Director-General of the foundation, Dr Osahon Enabulele, said the mission was designed to bridge healthcare access gaps, especially for the multidimensionally poor.

According to Enabulele, a former World Medical Association president, millions of Nigerians live in poverty, limiting access to quality healthcare services.

“The foundation is not only about education; it is about life itself, particularly advocating for good health.

“If you don’t have good health, you cannot do anything meaningful,” Enabulele said.

The medical outreach offered free consultations, treatments and basic diagnostic services to traders and residents at the market.

Medical consultants, doctors and nurses, led by Dr Adego Eferakeya, attended to beneficiaries during the exercise.

Eferakeya said patients received care for malaria, hypertension, diabetes and various skin diseases.

He noted that the foundation’s efforts had gained recognition, adding that good health was essential for individuals to achieve their life goals. (NAN)
