FRSC nabs BUA driver who crushes 6 persons to death in Kaduna
Akure, Sept. 19, 2025 (NAN) The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ondo State Command has decorated 27 newly promoted officers and 131 marshals across the state with a task to ensuring safety on the roads.
Dr Samuel Ibitoye, FRSC State Sector Commander, who decorated the newly promoted officers and marshals in Akure, urged them to see their elevation as additional responsibility and task to perform.
Ibitoye, who appreciated the Corps Marshal for the opportunity given to the promotee, said that vision of the FRSC was to ensure safe motoring environment in the country.
According to him, promotion is not automatic, but what you put on into the system that would determine your ability to partake.
βToday, 158 newly promoted staff of FRSC in Ondo State Command comprises 27 officers and 131 marshals decorated with their new ranks.
βSo, for the promoted staff, know that your elevation comes with enormous responsibility, you must double your efforts now, you must work harder than before and live up to expectations.
βBecause there is need for you to improving on your performance, to do more advocacy, and to ensure people and Nigerians entirely get value from FRSC,βhe said.
Ibitoye, who charged those that could not meet up in the promotion not to relent, said it had behoved on them, stakeholders, and promoted staff to ensure that the rate of crashes reduce on Nigeria roads.
βLet us remember that road safety is a collective responsibility and idea everybody must take ownership of.
βWe must put all our hands on deck with sole aim of bringing down the rate of crashes on Nigeria road for national development and economy growth of this our dear Nation,βhe said.
Speaking on behalf of the newly decorated officers, Mr Ololade Baale, who was promoted from the rank of Chief Route Commander to Assistant Corps Commander, appreciated the corps marshal for counting them worthy to be promoted.
Baale promised not to relent on the vision and mission of the FRSC for the betterment of all the road users and Nigerians
