A 39-year-old fuelling station attendant, Adetunji Hassan, on Tuesday appeared at an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for allegedly stealing the company’s N616,000.
Hassan was charged with stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Insp. Adeshina Folaranmi, told the court that Hassan committed the offence in January at OBX Fuelling Station, Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, Ibadan.
He said the defendant stole a cash sum of N616,000, which belonged to the company.
Folaranmi said the offence contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The magistrate, Mrs. Oluwabusayo Osho, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300,000 with two reliable sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until March 11 for hearing. (NAN)
