Kaduna,Jan. 20, 2026 (NAN) Upper Customary Court sitting on Daura Road, Kaduna, on Tuesday ordered the family of the late Godwin Aleje to vacate a rented apartment by March 16.
Judge Patience Musa gave the ruling after defence counsel, Matthew Aleje, said he was the deceased’s son and asked the court to adopt a settlement.
“I begged for one month’s grace so we can pack out to our own place,” he told the court.
Earlier, complainant Yunusa Isiyaku asked the court to help him recover a property at No. 7 Ilorin Street, Sabon Tasha, Kaduna.
Isiyaku, a property agent, said he was unaware the tenant had died, adding that he agreed the family could remain for one month. (NAN)
