
Karu-Nasarawa. The Executive Chairman of Karu Local Government Council, Nasarawa State, Hon. James B. Thomas, has imposed a 12-hour curfew to guarantee the safety of Karu LGA and its residents.
The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the chairman, Comr. Danbaba Uba Magaji, said in a statement on Friday that the decision followed careful consideration of the ongoing protests.
He stated, “The curfew across Karu LGA is effective immediately and will be enforced from 6 pm to 6 am daily until further notice.
This measure is a precaution to ensure the complete safety of Karu LGA and its residents. The curfew restricts the movement of people, Okada and Keke riders, all shop owners, and motorists within Karu LGA.”
