The Chief Judge of Kogi, Justice Josiah Majebi, has urged Nigerian Law School students on court attachment in the state to uphold integrity, discipline and hard work in the legal profession.

Majebi gave the advice while receiving 20 students in his chambers at the High Court of Justice headquarters in Lokoja.

The students were on attachment at the Kogi State High Court as part of their mandatory practical training at the Nigerian Law School.

He stressed that the legal profession demands ethical conduct, accountability and transparency at all times.

He warned against actions capable of eroding public trust in the judiciary.

“Remember, the legal profession is a profession of pride, integrity, discipline and transparency,” he said.

The chief judge advised the students not to pursue wealth at the expense of professional growth and mentorship.

According to him, success comes through perseverance, discipline and hard work.

He also encouraged them to remain focused during the four-week attachment.

He urged them to take advantage of the opportunity to learn courtroom procedures and professional ethics.

Speaking on behalf of the students, Glory Emmanuel of the Nigerian Law School, Abuja Campus, appreciated the judiciary for the warm reception and orientation. (NAN)
