LCDA inaugurates 15 new classrooms in Lagos

Epe (Lagos State), Sept. 30, 2025 (NAN) Mr Monsuru Akinloye, Chairman, Eredo Local Council Development Area of Lagos State has commissioned 15 new classrooms across three public schools in the council.

The classrooms were commissioned on Tuesday, in Eredo.

Akinloye said that the project marks a significant stride in enhancing access to quality education for pupils in the area.

According to him, the initiative is not just about building infrastructure, but also about investing in the future of children, strengthening communities, and advancing the THEMES agenda of Lagos State.

Project THEMES is an acronym for a  six strategic development agenda namely, Traffic Management and Transportation, Health and Environment, Education and Technology.

He noted that education remains the foundation for societal growth, stressing that no effort would be spared in ensuring that public schools in the LCDA provided a conducive learning environment for pupils.

Mr Tunde Disu, a community leader urged parents to take advantage of the renewed facilities by enrolling their wards in public schools.

This, he noted will ensure that every child has equal access to education regardless of their social background.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that some community leaders who attended the commissioning described the gesture as timely.

They said that it would help reduce overcrowding in classrooms and improve learning outcomes.(NAN).
