Okon whose address was not given, is being charged with entering and stealing.
The Prosecutor, ASP Emmanuel Abdullahi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence between July 22 and 23 at Edu Village, Ile-Ife.
Abdullahi said that the defendant broke into the house of the complainant, Godwin Vincent and stole his cell phone and money.
He said that Okon stole an Itel phone worth N25,000 and the sum of N85,000, belonging to the complainant.
He said that the offences were contrary to Sections 390(9) and 411 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.
The Defendant, who had no legal representation, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Magistrate Taofeek Badmus, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum whose address must be verified.
Badmus further said that the surety who should reside with the court’s jurisdiction, must swear to affidavit of means and present a tenable identification card.
He said that Okon should be remanded at a correctional facility in Ile-Ife, pending the perfection of his bail.
The magistrate adjourned the matter until Aug 1, for hearing.(NAN)
