Afrobeats singer, Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun, has marked 10 years in the music industry.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the singer announced the milestone on Monday via his verified X handle, sharing photographs alongside a brief message on the social media platform.
He wrote: “10 year’s! 1 Mayor”
Mayorkun began his music career in 2016 after signing with Davido Music Worldwide (DMW). He gained prominence the same year with his debut single, “Eleko”.
He later released two studio albums, The Mayor of Lagos (2018) and Back in Office (2021), alongside several hit singles.
The singer parted ways with DMW in 2021 and has since continued his career as an independent artiste, releasing new music and performing at concerts within and outside Nigeria.(NAN).
