Moscow, Sept. 10, 2025 (dpa/NAN) The Kremlin on Wednesday declined to comment on accusations that Russian drones had violated Polish and NATO airspace, following Poland’s report of shooting down multiple drones overnight.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that inquiries should be directed to the Defence Ministry, which has not yet issued a statement.
He criticised EU and NATO leaders, saying they “accuse Russia of provocations on a daily basis, mostly without attempting to provide any arguments to support their claims.”
Peskov also said, to his knowledge, Poland had not contacted Moscow directly about the incident.
Earlier, Andrei Ordash, chargé d’affaires of the Russian Embassy in Warsaw, dismissed Poland’s claims as baseless.
The alleged incursion followed Russian drone strikes on western Ukraine, near the Polish border.
According to the Polish Interior Ministry, debris from seven drones has been recovered and is currently under investigation.
