Sen. Ahmed Wadada, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Nasarawa State, has pledged to unite party members and consolidate the development strides of the current administration.

Wadada made the pledge on Monday in Lafia while formally accepting his emergence as the party’s candidate.

He described the party mandate as a responsibility to serve the people with sincerity, commitment and dedication.

He said that his victory at the party’s primary election belonged to all APC members and citizens who desired a prosperous, peaceful and progressive Nasarawa State.

The senator commended the leadership of the APC for conducting what he described as a peaceful, transparent and credible governorship primary election, saying the process demonstrated the party’s commitment to internal democracy.

Wadada also lauded Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his leadership and commitment to the unity and progress of the party.

He noted that Sule’s administration had laid a solid foundation for development through investments in infrastructure, industrialization, agriculture, healthcare, education and security.

The APC candidate expressed gratitude to other aspirants, including Hassan Liman (SAN) and Dr Fatima Abdullahi, for accepting the outcome of the primary election and placing the party’s interest above personal ambitions.

He called on all party members and supporters to close ranks and work together for the success of the APC in the 2027 general election.

“There is no victor and no vanquished. The contest is over and the time for reconciliation, unity and collective responsibility is now,” he said.

Wadada urged party faithful who might be dissatisfied with the primary election outcome to remain in the APC, describing the party as a broad platform that can accommodate diverse aspirations.

He unveiled his development blueprint tagged the “HEARTS Agenda”, which stands for Human Capital Development, Economic Enhancement, Accountability, Rural Transformation, Technological Advancement and Security.

According to him, the agenda is designed to consolidate existing achievements while creating opportunities for youth empowerment, rural development, innovation, economic growth and improved security across the state.

He said that if elected governor, his administration would prioritize transparency, accountability, institutional strengthening, job creation, women and youth empowerment, support for farmers and entrepreneurs, and investment promotion.

Wadada also pledged support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, saying the Federal Government’s reforms were aimed at achieving long-term economic stability and sustainable national development.

He urged residents to embrace unity and work collectively towards building a state that offers greater opportunities, quality education, improved healthcare, stronger security and sustainable prosperity for all. (NAN).
