Owerri, Aug. 25, 2025 (NAN) The Nigerian Chamber of Commerce-USA (NICOCUSA) has officially unveiled a food service platform known as naijasoup.com,
This is contained in a release by the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of NICOCUSA, Mr Gregory Ihenacho, and made available to newsmen in Owerri on Monday.
Ihenacho said the platform was born out of a desire to provide seamless access to authentic Nigerian meals while stimulating growth within the hospitality and agribusiness sectors.
He described the platform as a “one-stop hub” that links consumers, food businesses, and service providers under a secure, technology-driven system.
He said that the platform was a revolutionary food ordering and delivery platform poised to reshape Nigeria’s food service industry.
“The launch has opened important conversations for policy makers and regulators, particularly around digital commerce, consumer protection, and food standards in a rapidly evolving landscape.
“For scholars and researchers, naijasoup.com offers a case study on how indigenous ideas can drive innovation within traditional industries.
“From food enthusiasts savouring culinary displays to investors weighing the platform’s scalability, the launch of naijasoup.com was more than an event, it was the unveiling of a movement.
“With its bold vision, strategic partnership, and technology-driven outlook, naijasoup.com has positioned itself not only as a delivery service but as a catalyst for economic growth and cultural pride,” Ihenacho said.
The Chief Executive Officer of naijasoup.com, Mrs Adaeze Ihenacho, said that the platform was designed to create opportunities for local food vendors to thrive.
“We are creating an ecosystem where local restaurants, small-scale foodstuff traders, and kitchen equipment suppliers can thrive.
“Naijasoup.com is not just about food, it is about jobs, innovation, and expanding Nigeria’s presence in the global digital economy,” she said.
The News agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the event also marked the debut edition of the Naijasoup.com Food Expo.
The expo attracted an impressive line-up of restaurants, food vendors, equipment suppliers, and financial institutions displaying their offerings.
The atmosphere was festive yet forward-looking, as conversations extended beyond food to investment opportunities, entrepreneurship, and the future of Nigeria’s digital economy.
