Nigeria’s Keystone Bank MD Resigns

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Keystone Bank Limited has resigned his appointment citing personal reasons.

 

Mr. Oti Ikomi, was appointed Managing Director of the bank in August 2011 by the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON), after government injected funds into the then Bank PHB, to save it from going down.


AMCON subsequently seized the bank and renamed it Keystone Bank Limited.


A statement from the bank to THEWILL confirming his resignation said, Mr. Ikomi tendered his resignation today “based on personal reasons.”


Mr. Ikomi is a seasoned professional banker with a wealth of experience spanning over two decades.


The bank said, “The Chairman of Keystone Bank, Mr. Moyo Ajekigbe OFR, has convened a meeting for tomorrow, October 12, to review the development and appoint a successor.”
