The management of the Nigeria National League (NNL) on Friday conducted the draw for the 2025/2026 Super 4 competition scheduled to hold at the Remo Stars International Stadium, Ikenne, Ogun.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the draw ceremony took place in Lagos, and was attended by key stakeholders in the sports sector including the Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Bukola Olopade.
Also at the event were the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau; Chairman of Remo Stars, Kunle Soname, and the Chief Executive Officer of Toptier Sports Management, Chichi Nwoko, among others.
NAN reports that the competition, scheduled to run from May 4 to May 8, will open with a fixture between Sporting Lagos and Ranchers Bees.
Sporting Lagos are returning to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), while Ranchers Bees are making a comeback to the top flight after an 18-year absence.
In the second Matchday 1 fixture, Doma United, also returning to the NPFL, will face debutants, Inter Lagos.
On Matchday 2, Ranchers Bees will take on Inter Lagos, while Sporting Lagos will confront Doma United.
Matchday 3 will see Doma United face Ranchers Bees, while Inter Lagos will battle Sporting Lagos.
Speaking at the event, Nwoko announced a prize of N10 million for the winners of the Super Four, while the other three participating teams will receive N2 million each.
She said Toptier Sports Management was committed to repositioning the league and enhancing its competitiveness.
“Our ambition for the league is clear, as reflected in the prize money and other incentives.
“The winner of the NNL Super Four will receive N10 million, while the other three teams will get N2 million each,” she said.
NAN reports that former Nigerian internationals, including Victor Ikpeba and Daniel Amokachi, graced the occasion. (NAN)
