Enugu Rangers Football Club on Sunday drew 0-0 with Kwara United FC of Ilorin in week 24 of the Nigerian Professional Football League 2023/2024.
The match, played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, saw the two teams do everything to outdo each other, but none could find the back of the net.
The technical adviser of the Rangers, Fidelis Illechukwu, blamed his team’s lackluster performance on fatigue.
He said that the Rangers had been playing with the same set of players in the last five to six games, and as human beings, they were bound to be tired.
“We plan to make five to six changes in our next game against the Kano Pillars in Kano.
“In football, you win some and lose some; so, we prepare for the next game,” Illechukwu said.
On his part, the Chief Coach of Kwara United FC, Tunde Sani, praised his team for withstanding the pressure from Rangers.
“It was a good game. We had to sit back against an attacking-conscious Rangers, and with this draw, we are coming up the table,” Sani said. (NAN)
