The Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos State, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Monday advised the public against challenging armed security personnel.
Hundeyin said in a statement that it had become necessary to caution the public against the backdrop of some avoidable killings by security personnel when they were challenged to shoot.
According to him, this is not about armed police officers only, it is about any armed person, security forces or criminals.
“Be a well-informed generation, for your safety, please stop challenging or daring an armed person to shoot.
“Asking an armed person, in a daring manner, how many people he/she can kill or attempting to disarm an armed person never ends well.
“There is nowhere in the world where it is done. A shot once fired can never be retrieved.
“A life once lost can never be brought back. Remember, one with a gun is majority,” he counseled. (NAN)
