Controversial Nigerian singer and rapper, Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has stirred reactions after expressing regret of being unmarried and childless at age 42.
The renowned rapper, who is also known as ‘Akpi’ made an emotional declaration about his personal life status on his social media platforms in a video clip that went viral.
According to him, in spite of having an American passport, which seems as a major achievement for some persons, he still lacked family and respect because he desired more.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the emotional statement by the entertainer, who turned 42 in March has quickly gained massive online traction.
He also lamented on having only an American passport to show, while yearning for family freedom and respect.
“I am close to 60 with no wife or child. Is this how I am going to live my life? All I have to show is American papers. I want more than American papers out of life. “I want family, freedom and respect,” he wrote.
Darlington had previously discussed fatherhood including a recent offer of five million naira to a young woman who is willing to bear his child without marriage ties.
