Three persons: Bimpe Oyeneye, 55, Ebenezer Oyedele, 64 and Oluwabunmi Aluko, 41, on Monday appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for allegedly fighting in public.
The trio whose addresses were not provided, were charged with conduct likely to cause the breach of peace and fighting in public.
They, however pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Adeshina Folaranmi said the defendants committed the offences on June 25, at about 6.30 p.m. at Dugbe market, Ibadan.
Folaranmi alleged that the defendants conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause the breach of peace by fighting in the market.
He said the offences contravened provisions of Sections 83 and 249(d) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Oluwabusayo Osho granted the defendants bail in the sum of N200,000 each and two sureties each in like sum.
She adjourned the case until Jan.20, 2027, for hearing. (NAN).
