Calabar, March 5, 2026 (NAN) The Police Command in Cross River has assured prospective applicants who applied for the 2025/2026 recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force of merit based screening in the recruitment exercise.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the assurance is contained in a statement by the command’s spokesman, ASP Sunday Eitokpah, and made available to newsmen in Calabar on Thursday.

“Members of the public are encouraged to report any individual or group demanding gratification or inducement in connection with the exercise,” he said.
