Report: 2 men arraigned for allegedly stealing employer’s N1.24m

Two men: Samson Ojo, 55, and Ojo Ajani, 32, on Monday appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing N 1. 24million belonging to their employer.

The defendants, whose house addresses were not provided, are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.

The prosecutor, Insp. Evenly Ehiemua told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Sept. 3, 2019, at No.24, Duduyemi St., Egbeda, a suburb of Lagos.

Ehiemua alleged that the duo stole the amount belonging to a complainant, one Mr Taiwo Ojulari.

The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The magistrate, Mrs A.O. Daudu granted the defendants bail in the sum of N250,000, each with one surety each in like sum.

Daudu adjourned the case until Jan. 24, for mention.
