Nigeria’s representatives at the ongoing Basketball Africa League in Kigali, Rwanda – The Rivers Hoopers, have ended their run in the competition.

The Hoopers crashed out despite registering a first win 80 – 69 points in their final group game against GNBC of Madagascar on Saturday.

Speaking after the result, Coach Ogoh Daudu said he was thankful for the experience, and noted that the competition will impact positively on the continent going forward.

The competition’s Playoffs will begin on Tuesday, May 25, while the BAL finals will be held on May 30, 2021.

The two-week tournament is the first professional league run by the National Basketball Association (NBA) outside of North America in partnership with the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).
