Total Energy Marketing Nigeria PLC on Thursday partnered with the Nigeria Conservation Foundation (NCF) to clean up Falomo Senior High School Ikoyi, and plant trees there for environmental sustainability.

Mrs. Chinwe Ifechiga, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager, Total Energy Marketing Nigeria PlC, said at the event that Total Energy Group worldwide had the vision of zero net emission, to reduce the impact of its activities in the environment.

According to her, it is important to focus on the younger generation as change agents in the spread of the message of environmental sustainability.

“The essence for us is to contribute our quota to mitigating the effects of climate change.

“We have also taught the kids how to plant trees,” Ifechiga said.

She expressed delight in partnering with the Lagos State Government on environmental sustainability, and the NCF.

Also, Mrs. Bidemi Balogun, Environmental Education, NCF, said the foundation was delighted in partnering with Total Energy Marketing Zero emission initiatives geared towards reducing the effects of climate change.

Balogun noted that NCF had played critical roles in spreading the message of environmental sustainability across the country.

One of the participants, Miss Deborah Olawoore, a Senior Secondary School Student of the school, expressed appreciation to Mobil Energy Marketing and NCF for teaching them waste management and tree planting.
