Sango-Ota (Ogun), Jan. 14, 2026 (NAN) The Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) said that one person died in an accident involving two trucks on Tuesday, at Koro-Otun, around Osi Roundabout in Ota, Ogun.
Mr Salai Hammed, the Ota Divisional Commander of TRACE, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Ota.
Hammed said that the accident which involved a Benz Hiab Truck loaded with iron with Registration No EKY 595 YR and one other truck with no registration number happened at about 5.45 p.m on Tuesday.
Hammed said that an eyewitness explained that the Benz truck lost control due to brake failure and rammed into the containerised truck.
“The motorboy in the Benz Truck died on the spot and the corpse of the victim has been released to the family for burial,” he said.
Hammed admonished drivers against speeding and to ensure that their vehicles are in good condition before putting them on the highway. (NAN)
