Reports affirm that gunmen have set yet another police station ablaze in Imo State. Sources say the facility is the Divisional Police Station in Orji.

Eye witnesses say the gunmen, adorned in black and red berets, were also shooting sporadically in the air, scaring residents of the area. The mode of dressing is synonymous with the Eastern Security Network, a security outfit launched by the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu.

The state Police command is yet to react to the report as at the time of filing this report, but the attack is coming just days after the state governor, Hope Uzodinma had threatened to crush anyone that attempts to attack Imo state again.

Governor Uzodinma had asked residents to ignore rumours of a planned attack, describing reports making rounds that hoodlums were targeting some institutions and government facilities in the state, as unfounded.
