Following the upward curve of COVID-19 cases in the state,the Lagos State Government has reconsidered and consequently shelved its plan to reopen churches and mosques on June 19.
The state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC), the state has 7319 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with infections expected to rise in the coming days.
