Eid-el-Kabir: Kano fire service cautions residents on fire safety

The Kano State Fire Service has urged residents to take extra care while roasting meat or other use of fire during  Eid-el-Kabir celebrations to prevent fire outbreaks and related incidents.

The Public Relations Officer of the Service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Kano.

He said the Service has put measures in place to ensure safety of lives and property during the Sallah celebrations across the state.

Abdullahi advised parents not to allow children to go near fire while roasting meat during the festivities.

The PRO also urged motorists to obey traffic regulations to avoid road crashes and other incidents during and after Sallah.
