Abuja, Jan. 25, 2024 (NAN): The Euroafrica Educational Services, an organisation promoting human capital development, says it will sponsor 200 Nigerian youths to Poland to study and learn vocational skills.
The organisation says the goal is to play a role in empowering and building the capacity of teeming productive youths in the federation as part of an ongoing generation drive for the economic development of Nigeria.
Mr. Olakunle Alayande, founder of EuroAfrica Educational Services, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Abuja.
Alayande said the scheme would be carried out by EuroAfrica Educational Services in collaboration with KLDL International, Nigeria, and their Polish partnering institutions.
He said that selected Nigerian students across the country would be educated in higher institutions and vocational colleges in Poland.
He added that the selected candidates for the programme would have the minimum qualification of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) or the National Examination Council (NECO) and the opportunity to work during and after the programme.
“Candidates for the higher institutions would graduate after they were done with their preferred courses, while those who participated in vocational training would be in electrical and building courses, technical skills, and employee enhancement programmes.
“Our goal basically is to play a role in empowering and building the capacity of teeming productive youths of the federation as part of an ongoing generation drive.
“All candidates will be given employment while they are studying or are being trained to acquire the skills needed for employment.
“The tuition fee is waived for this programme. Furthermore, accommodation and transportation allowances would also be provided for the entire duration for both students in higher institutions and students in vocational programmes.”
Alayande, however, said that the cost of consultation and logistics, such as flight tickets, visa processing, and onboarding, would be borne by the candidates in Nigeria.
He explained that EuroAfrica Educational Services was a Nigerian and Polish-registered company.
He added that the organisation had over the past 11 years moved more than 300 students, both graduates and undergraduates, from various institutions in exchange programmes to Poland to earn a Polish degree.
He said that unlike before, the 2024 programme was not limited to graduates or undergraduates alone.
“The 2024 programme is also open to secondary school certificate holders who will be distributed to various vocational institutions to study in different vocational fields and acquire skills while working in Poland.
“At the end of this, we believe it will be an impact for youths to bring out what they have learned in Poland to impact Nigeria.
“We want to be part of the group of organisations which are in the educational sector to help Nigerian youth get to wherever they want to go to’’, he said (NAN)
