The Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC) says that to mitigate aggregate technical, commercial, and collection (ATC &C) losses, it has entered into a partnership with GRM.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that GRM is a company equipped with skills for effective management of losses.
In a statement signed on Friday in Jos by Dr Elijah Adekole, JEDC’s Head, Corporate Communications, and Board Chairman of the company, Alhaji Ibrahim Sani-Bello, said that the company lost about N5 billion every month due to technical, commercial, and collection losses.
He therefore said the new partnership with GRM would help reduce the company’s ATC & C losses.
The board chairman called for concerted efforts and strategies from the staff that would enhance JEDC’s operations.
“Please endeavour to redouble your efforts towards the realisation of the N5 billion.
“You have the capabilities and the capacities.
“The Board is willing to support you, and therefore you should take advantage of the Board’s gesture to do the needful,” Sani-Bello said.
The chairman emphasized the board’s zeal for making investments in the company’s network to boost its efficiency.
In his remarks, JEDC’s Managing Director, Abdul-Bello Mohammed, thanked the Board for its unflinching support for the company.
Mohammed said the management and staff of the company were poised to move the company up from its current status. (NAN)
