A 45-year-old man, Azeez Tajudeen, was on Tuesday charged before a Federal High Court in Lagos, with Heroin trafficking.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) filed the one-count charge against Tajudeen.
The prosecutor, Mr. Jeremiah Aernan said that the defendant committed the alleged offence on Oct. 23, and was arrested at Ipodo in Ikeja, on a tipoff.
According to the NDLEA, Heroin weighing nine grammes was recovered from the defendant during a search on him by its operatives.
Trafficking in Heroin offends Section 11(c) of the NDLEA Act of 2004.
No date has yet been fixed for arraignment of the defendant. (NAN)
