Ibadan, Jan.20, 2026 (NAN) The police on Tuesday arraigned 27-year-old Rafiu Ahmed, before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for allegedly stealing a tricycle worth N3 Millon.
Ahmed, whose address was not provided was charged with stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Insp Samuel Owolabi told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Sept. 9, 2025, at Maku area, Sawmill, Ibadan.
Owolabi alleged that the defendant stole the brand new tricycle worth N3 million belonging to one Alhaji Mushood Alkali.
He alleged that the complainant, Alkali gave the defendant the tricycle for commercial purpose but he made away with it.
He said the offence contravened provisions of Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Gladys Olanrewaju, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Olanrewaju held that one of the sureties must be a blood relation to the defendant.
She thereafter, adjourned the case until Feb. 23, for hearing. (NAN)
