Mr. Jerry Eze, the Senior Pastor of Streams of Joy International, has urged Christians to seek God`s wisdom amidst ethical dilemmas and challenges that confront them as they advance in their careers and businesses.
Eze made the call during the church service on Sunday in Abuja.
He said that reaching high levels in life may require believers to interact with ungodly people who are critical in their life`s journey.
He, however, said that the situation does not give them an excuse to become ungodly but to rather interact with them using God’s wisdom without compromising their faith.
“You will meet people in your industry that are high players but are not godly as you go higher, but seek God`s wisdom on how to deal with them so that you do not compromise on God`s standard.
“The idea is that I (God) am going to take you to the market place and I am going to give you the dew; however, you will not mingle in with the dirt so that it doesn’t slow you down.
“I (God) am going to give you helpers, people who are not exactly as godly, but you will not mingle with their system because, by your nature, if you mingle with them, they will slow you down.
“Everyone that is useful to you is not carrying a Bible; everyone that God will use to take you to your next level may not be God`s lover,“ he said.
He urged the church members to seek God`s grace to navigate difficulties, as He allows certain situations to build the capacity of His children to handle greater responsibilities.
According to the cleric, Christians should not overlook the lessons of discipline and guidance given by authorities during difficulties, urging them to be resilient and not allow situations to tie them down to a spot in life.
He added that while they pray, they should not demand opportunities they do not have the capacity to handle but should focus on self-development while awaiting suitable opportunities.(NAN)(
