Kano, Aug.6, 2025 ( NAN) Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has received various awards conferred on him by different organisations in recognition of his administration’s transformational drive at the commencement of the 30th Executive Council meeting.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, in Kano, Wednesday.
The awards included: Great Achiever 2025 conferred by the Federal Ministry of Water Resources for open defecation-free Kano and presented by the Deputy Governor, Aminu Gwarzo, as well as an award by MIA International School on the governor’s strides in education.
Others were: Governor of the Year 2025 in Infrastructure Development at the 15th African Achievers Award that was presented by the Special Adviser on State Affairs, Alhaji Usman Bala Muhammad.
He also read the Governor of the Year 2025 in Education by Blueprint Newspapers as presented by the governor’s Technical Adviser on Education Reforms, Dr Haladu Mohammed.
Yusuf also received the Infrastructure Development Commendation Award at the 19th African International African Show(AIHS) that was presented by the Commissioner for Housing Development, Mr Ibrahim Adamu.
A visibly elated Yusuf expressed gratitude to the awarding organisations for recognising his administration’s efforts to improve the lives of Kano’s citizens.
He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to striving for excellence, delivering quality services, and promoting prosperity and socioeconomic development in the state.( NAN)
