Lagos, February 15, 2024 – Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), extended his condolences to Pastor and Mrs. Shyngle Wigwe, the grieving parents of the late Dr. Herbert Wigwe, during a condolence visit on Friday.
Dr. Herbert Wigwe, who served as the Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc and Group Managing Director of Access Bank Plc, tragically lost his life alongside his wife, Doreen, and son, Chizi, in a helicopter accident last Friday, February 9, 2024, in the United States. The crash also claimed the life of former Nigeria Stock Exchange chairman, Abimbola Ogunbanjo.
Pastor and Mrs. Shyngle Wigwe are reportedly members of the RCCG, City of David, Lagos, where Pastor Adeboye visited to offer his support and condolences.
In a post on his verified Facebook page, Pastor Adeboye expressed heartfelt solidarity and offered warm condolences to the grieving family. The post read, “May his memory be a source of comfort in these difficult times for the family and the RCCG City of David Family in Jesus name.”
The tragic accident has deeply impacted the family and the wider community, prompting an outpouring of support and sympathy from individuals and organisations across Nigeria.
