Osun State has welcomed a new Commissioner of Police, Bzigu Dali Kwazhi, as announced in a statement by the Command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, on Friday. The newly appointed Commissioner officially assumed duty on Thursday, January 4, 2023.
CP Kwazhi’s deployment to the state follows the recent redeployment of the former Commissioner of Police, Isyaku Mohammed. Described as a thoroughbred professional with a track record of achievements, CP Kwazhi brings a wealth of experience to his new assignment.
Born in Mildu Shalmi, Madagali L.G.A of Adamawa State, CP Kwazhi holds a B.A in History/Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, and is an alumnus of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru, Jos.
With a career in the Nigeria Police Force that began in May 1992 as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (Cadet ASP), CP Kwazhi has served in various capacities across different states and international assignments. His roles include being a Contingent Commander for Nigeria Formed Police Units to the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL), Pioneer Police logistics Officer/NCC, Team Coordinator for the ECOWAS Mission in Guinea Bissau, and Chief of Training at the Department of Peacekeeping Operations, FHQ Abuja.
The statement described CP Kwazhi as a seasoned professional characterized by transparency, integrity, and qualities worthy of emulation. He is happily married with children, adding a new chapter to his distinguished career in law enforcement.
